Grand Forks Church of Christ
About us

                                                           The Plea
To make all men see what is the  fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world has been hid in God, who created
all things by Jesus Christ: to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church
the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

                                                       Who We Are...
We are a group of Christians who accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. We have no earthy organization and recognize Jesus as the
only Head of the church.  By implication, we are the "Church of Christ". We  honor the Son of God and cherish our relationship
with him as Lord of all the earth. We speak where the bible speaks and are silent where the bible is silent.  Simply put, we strive to
be like the church that was started by Christ in the 1st century and accept only that pattern which has been revealed in the inspired
word of God.

                                                      What We Believe...
We believe the Bible is the uniquely inspired word of God (Romans 1:16) and that it must be the only basis for what we believe,
teach and do(Gal. 1:8). According to the Bible, all human beings sin (Romans 3:23)(violate God's laws),  resulting in separation
from God (Rom. 5:8) (Isaiah 59:2). God's love for us is so strong that Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth, lived in a human body
(Phil 2:5-11) and died as a sacrifice for our sins (John 3:16). This makes it possible for us to be forgiven (Mark 16:16) and to be
restored to a good relationship with God (Acts 2:38). All who demonstrate faith in Jesus by obeying his teachings can be assured of
this relationship(2 Tim 3:16). They are also promised eternal happiness with God after death.(1 Thess. 4:16-18).

                                            The Mission of the church
According to the Bible, the church is Jesus' spiritual body( Eph.1:19-23). Our mission is to follow his example and to continue the
ministry he began.(Math. 28:19-20). While on earth, his highest priority was to glorify the Father by doing his will(John 17:1-4). He
deeply loved all people, regardless of their race, background or circumstances (Mark 16:15-16). He offered salvation to all who
would become his disciples.(Titus 2:11) He set an example and served others, rather than expecting them to serve him.(Phil. 2:7)
As Christians we seek to emulate His commitment to serve  the living God. To study the bible that contains within it's pages the
eternal truth to be learned, commands to be obeyed and promises to be enjoyed.
Come join us as we fight the good fight of the faith.
